Welcome to our simple and cozy Christmas apartment! Earlier, I shared my festive Christmas living room, which is where most of our Christmas decorating takes place. If you need a refresher of that space, check out the picture above and below! And you can see the full post here.

Though most of our decorating is in the living room, that doesn’t mean the rest of our apartment is neglected! We like to keep simple and cozy Christmas decor throughout the remaining rooms, since we live in a small space and it can easily get overwhelmed. If you’re looking for simple and cozy Christmas ideas, keep reading to see what we did!

Christmas Apartment Tour

The first thing you see when you get to our apartment is the DIY wreath I made a few years ago. I love this wreath- it’s minimal but cozy at the same time. And it couldn’t have been simpler to make. I took a wire wreath form, arranged some faux greenery and berries and then wired them to the wreath form with floral wire. Then I hot glued a ribbon around the base of the greenery to hide the ends, and added an adorable plaid scotty dog on top of the ribbon.

Inside our apartment, we have simple touches placed throughout our kitchen. The space here is mostly functional, since again, small apartment! But we managed to add some cozy Christmas vibes using the space available.

Using our vertical space, we added two cute plaid snowflakes hanging from the cabinets. A Santa baking cookies is in one corner out of the way but still visible, and Christmas kitchen towels hang on our oven. Over the sink, we have the most adorable gingerbread sign that is the only new item in this room that I bought this year. It’s so cute, it makes even washing the dishes more cozy!

Here’s a close up:

Another good use of vertical space is in our tiny little hallway. Here, we hung a garland with red berries and white puff balls to bring in more of those traditional Christmas colors. I added some fairy lights for some extra cozy flair.

Behind the garland is possibly my favorite decoration from this year! We hung tiny little Christmas ball ornaments from the ceiling with clear fishing line, and the effect is like they are floating. So cool! On the door, we have a noel sign in the same plaid as the snowflakes on the cabinets, and on the floor is a cute snowman shoe mat.

The last spot in our kitchen to decorate is this little cabinet at the end of our island. The top is pretty simple since we don’t want it too cluttered. Just our rolling date calendar, a few small sprigs of greenery and berries, our Alexa, and a ring holder.

On the floor to the side of the cabinet, we snuck in a little extra decoration. The cutest little flocked tree, complete with more fairy lights and some faux snow, rests on an overturned wooden box to give it some height.

Moving into our bedroom, I usually only decorate the windowsill of our lone window. It’s the largest and most out of the way space, so it’s ideal for decorating.

I love to use these battery operated candle sticks to add a warm glow to the bedroom at night. Two of them are on clear glass vases filled with ornaments to give them height and create more visual interest. On the other side of the window sill, I’ll be honest…these were the leftover decorations that I couldn’t fit anywhere else! But I actually really like how it came out. It’s cozy and simple, and fills out the long window sill.

The only other decoration in the bedroom is this wreath on the door to the bathroom. this is also battery operated and lights up the hallway at night. A pretty bow was all it needed!

Okay, now I don’t normally show our bathroom here, because I think it’s kind of ugly and it has zero natural light which does not make for good photographs. But I just adore the little decorations I did around the door this year. They cozi-fy the otherwise boring bathroom!

And, it looks like someone left his Santa hat hanging on the other bathroom door!
